White Lodging of Indiana, a hotel development company has announced it will construct a dual-branded hotel for downtown Denver consisting of AC Hotel by Marriott and a Starwood-branded Le Meridien Hotel. Construction is slated to begin this spring with an opening expected early 2017.
This project will rise at 15th and California and will consist of 491 rooms between the two hotel brands. With the Colorado Convention center just one block away, the hotel is expected to accommodate convention visitors.
“Denver continues to experience healthy and measured growth, and we believe these two unique hotels will bring fresh and unique lodging options to the downtown market,” said Deno Yiankes, White Lodging’s president and CEO of investments and development.
Each brand will have a separate lobby and entrance. Le Meridien will provide more than 8,000 –square-feet of space for meetings and events. The Le Meridien Hotel will offer 272 rooms, a 24 hour fitness center and a full-service restaurant.
The AC Hotel by Marriott originated in Europe and has 72 hotels on that continent with plans to add an additional 50 hotels globally.
“The brand features simple, clean and crisp lines, marrying sophisticated European style with approachable design for a distinctly urban feel. The Denver AC will have unique elements, which will embody the character of the city and enhance the guests’ experience of the destination,” states White Lodging.
White Lodging is currently developing the dual-brand Hyatt House and Hyatt Place hotel on 14th and Glenarm which is currently two floors away from topping off.
