Denver night photos
May 13, 2018 at 4:32 pm 2
I went out on Friday evening and snagged some urban night photos of Denver. The clouds were low, and a persistent mist was falling. First is a photo of the multi-family project that is under construction at Speer and Bannock in the Golden Triangle neighborhood of Denver. This project is being developed by Greystar. Justin Martin Photography This vantage point on Bannock street caught my eye, as this unassuming dive bar is surrounded by recent development in The Golden Triangle. Justin Martin Photography I then walked towards the Denver Art Museum and grabbed this photo. The mist in the air made for an interesting color. This portion of the Denver Art Museum was designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. Justin Martin Photography Here is a photo of the Denver Public Library addition that was added to the original library in 1995. The architectural style of the addition is post modern. The Denver Public Library addition was designed by architect Michael Graves who passed away in 2015. Justin Martin Photography While walking towards downtown across Denver's Civic Center Park, I noticed the gold dome of the Colorado State Capitol Building peeking out above the tree line. The Capitol Building opened in 1894 and was designed by architect Elijah E. Myers. Justin Martin Photography I then walked to Denver's 16th Street Mall where I captured this image of an RTD bus driving by. The view from 1801 California
April 19, 2018 at 8:54 pm 0
I recently captured photos of one of the office suites in 1801 California in downtown Denver. Below are a few photos of the view. Below is a photo looking towards the Wells Fargo building (Cash Register Building) and Republic Plaza. Justin Martin Photography Next is a photo of 1999 Broadway. This downtown Denver skyscraper was designed by Denver-based architecture firm Fentress. 1999 Broadway was completed in 1985 Justin Martin Photography This same vantage point on the east side of 1801 California provides a nice view of all the construction work taking place along Welton Street as it points towards Denver's Five Points neighborhood. Justin Martin photography Here we see 1999 Broadway and the Wells Fargo Center (Cash Register Building) in the same photo. Hopefully the parking lots in downtown Denver that can be seen in this photo will be developed in the not too distant future. Downtown Denver Photos
January 22, 2018 at 1:49 am 2
The last few weeks I have had a chance to sneak out and capture photos of Downtown Denver and the Denver Skyline.  Take a look at the below photos and I hope you enjoy reviewing my recent photos of Denver. Some of you may have heard of Kim Allen, he is a Denver-based photographer and is known for his unique photos of Denver during the 1980s. He focused his attention on capturing the vacant and deteriorating buildings of Lower Downtown Denver before the LoDo renaissance of the 1990s. To learn more about Mr. Allen and his photos, I invite you to take a look the interview I posted where he answered questions about his thoughts on Denver and his photographs: The man behind the Denver Photo Archives Long story short, Mr Allen and I have stayed in touch. Recently we met up to take some photos. Below are a couple photos I took that day. Justin Martin Photography Justin Martin Photography Denver Skyline   **All of my images are copyrighted. Denver Skyline October 2017
October 16, 2017 at 2:42 pm 0
Last night I captured some photos near Mile High looking east towards Downtown Denver. The Denver Broncos were playing the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. I hit the shutter button at just the right moment on this one to capture the fireworks. Denver Broncos Skyline I switched lenses and snagged a few photos of Downtown Denver. There is a nice view of Denver's newest skyscraper, 1144 Fifteenth Street from this vantage point. Downtown Denver night The traffic on Denver's busy Colfax Avenue made for some cool lighting Downtown Denver Long Exposure Denver After capturing these photos of Downtown Denver and the fireworks at Sports Authority Field at Mile High while the Denver Broncos game was going on, I was able to make it home in time to watch the second half of the game. I did not miss much as it was one of the Denver Broncos poorest performances at home that I can remember. Denver Broncos Skyline
