Portman Holdings has secured a development site at 1801 Wewatta located adjacent to the Union Station multi-model transit terminal.
Current plans for the project include a 200,000 square foot mixed-use development featuring office space and a hotel. Architectural services are being provided by John Portman & Associates with Hensel Phelps serving as the General Contractor.
“This location is unbeatable,” said Ambrish Baisiwala, CEO of Portman Holdings. ” Denver is just the type of market we are bullish about, and we appreciate the dynamics of the Union Station neighborhood as well as the walkability and integrated transit.”
Portman Holdings has developed over 50 million square feet of real estate over the last 60 years. This project is also planned to include a public plaza facing 18th Street and is expected to be completed 18 months after the ground breaking.
Denver Urban Review will provide more information on this project as it becomes available.
