Modera Observatory Park underway

January 21, 2016 0

Modera Observatory ParkA ground breaking ceremony was held at the construction site of Modera Observatory Park on Thursday. This development features two buildings, one of which is now rising above grade.

The two buildings that are under construction are located at 1910 and 1911 S. Josephine St. in the Observatory Park neighborhood of Denver.  This development is taking shape just the east of the University of Denver campus. The RTD University of Denver light rail station is located 6 blocks from the construction site of Modera Observatory Park. Once completed the two five-story buildings will house a total of 275 apartment units.

Denver-based Studio PBA is the architecture firm that designed this project, Shaw Construction is the General Contractor, and Mill Creek Residential is the developer.

“We can have residents here that can commute to the tech center and downtown and we were attracted to the site because of the proximity to both employment centers. There are a number of amenities around here as well with Washington Park and South Pearl; we look at this as the best of both worlds,” explained Brian Wynne managing director at Mill Creek Residential.

The project will feature a fitness center, a pool, and a ground floor club room. A total of 336 parking space will be incorporated into the two buildings.

“Units were designed to attract young professionals that we believe will use the transit system and we were highly cognoscente of the nearby light rail station,” stated Wynne.

Modera Observatory Park is slated to be completed in April of 2017.
