Laramie Energy Company has announced that it will lease 19,592 square feet of space at 1401 17th Street in downtown Denver. Laramie Energy is a natural gas exploration and production company. CBRE Group, Inc. provided brokerage services in this transaction.
Laramie Energy has been leasing space at nearby Writer Square but has outgrown that property.
“We were attracted to the space because it was already built out and felt brand new without having to undergo a large capital investment,” said Bruce Payne, President and Chief Financial Officer at Laramie Energy.
Greg Holm of CBRE’s Denver Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services represented Laramie Energy in the lease.
“We are extremely satisfied with the result of our search for new space in downtown Denver,” added Payne. “We could not have been anywhere as successful in this endeavor without Greg’s invaluable business advice and management of the timetable at every step of the way.”
Beginning Dec. 1, 2015, Laramie Energy will occupy the complete 14th floor and half of the 13th floor.
“Oil and gas is a dynamic industry, as we have witnessed first-hand in Denver,” said Holm, Senior Vice President with CBRE. “The silver lining is that, when one company makes the decision to vacate its space mid-lease, it creates an opportunity for another growing company to transition into a better space and take advantage of below-market rates.”
