Residents are now moving into the completed portions of the Kent Place Residences located at the northwest corner of Hampden Avenue and University Boulevard. The finishing touches are being applied to segments of the project and will be fully completed in the next couple of months.
Kent Place Residences sits on the former site of the Denver Seminary. Kent Place Residences was designed by KEPHART and includes 300 residential units. The project is being developed by Forum Real Estate.
The amenities of the this luxury project include:
- Virtual golf
- Yoga studio
- Bocce ball court
- Fitness center and steam rooms
- Concierge service
- Open air pool and spas
A strong effort was made in the design of the building to create a sense of community. The project includes several lounge areas and inviting spaces where residence will be able to comfortably mingle with their neighbors. Even the mail room was designed to be a place to chat with one’s neighbors.
“We wanted to create spaces where people actually wanted to linger. We designed a mail room that is larger than is typically found with wide spaces and good lighting so people won’t just grab their mail and go. Residence are more likely to spend time and interact with others,” said KEPHART architect Bobby Long.
Another element that showcases the attention to detail of the project was the placement of skylights in the stairwells to incentivize exercise and healthy living.
Kent Place Residences features 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. The retail portion of this development is now open and the centerpiece is a Fresh Fare King Soopers.
“A series of setbacks were designed into the building to create a structure that does not feel as massive to the neighbors in the area. We did not have much push back from people in the area on this project,” said Long.
The two upper floors of the 7-story project showcase penthouse units with wrap around balconies that offer views of downtown Denver and the front range.
KEPHART also designed The Logan, an apartment building at 7th Street and Logan in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and the 8th and Lincoln apartments that are currently under construction.
