Located at 110 Broadway in Denver, is the historic Mayan Theatre. The theatre was built in 1930. It was nearly lost to the wrecking ball in the 1980s, but a grass-roots group, "Friends of the Mayan" helped to ensure the theater was preserved. The building underwent restoration in 1986.

Today the Mayan Theater contains three screens and focuses on showcasing independent films. It contained one screen when it opened.
The Mayan Theatre's website describes its architectural style as "Art Deco Mayan Revival Style." This building is designated as a historic landmark.

Montana S. Fallis was the architect who designed the Mayan Theatre in Denver.
